Growing up in a South Texas ranching family, Paula was instilled with a sense of responsibility, fairness, perseverance , and respect for others at an early age. After attending a girl’s school for 12 years, she went to the University of Texas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. The summer after her sophomore year, Paula attended the University of Texas, and fell in love with northern New Mexico while visiting an artist cousin in Taos on her way back to Texas. Many trips later became a permanent stay in 1998 and she made the historical city of Santa Fe her home.
Paula has enjoyed success in the sale of luxury properties since becoming a realtor in Houston, Texas in 1968. She was associated with Robin Elverson who at the time was the premier luxury broker specializing in River Oaks and Tanglewood. She has also been associated with Eden Box (now Avenue One) in Austin, Texas.
With a passion for life, an eye for fine architecture and an appreciation for the history of Santa Fe, her clients have found her enthusiasm and friendliness contagious.
Some of her premier listings in Santa Fe have been featured in the Wall Street Journal’s, “House of the Week”, the Robb Report Collection, Unique Homes, Christie’s Great Estates magazine, Mountain Living, Texas Monthly, Variety, and the International Herald Tribune.
Paula is a Certified Luxury Marketing Specialist and a member of the Million Dollar Guild of the Institute for Luxury Marketing. She served on their board for the Leaders in Luxury conference in 2006. She is a Prudential Fine Homes Specialist, and an elite broker with Who’s Who
In Luxury Real Estate.
An avid gardener, “great cook”, a sometimes” artist, Paula loves to travel, entertain her friends, and read a good book.
